Ousmane Dembele starred in France’s recent game against Kazakhstan, scoring a goal in the nineteenth minute. Dembele had been suffering a difficult time in both club and country over the last three seasons, but after working with Ronald Koeman and his fitness coaches, he seems back on the right path and active for a long spell of games.
After the match, his national team coach Didier Deschamps had some encouraging words to say about the Frenchman. He said, “Dembele confirmed that he is on the right track. He is capable of repeating efforts and of differing his play. He was rewarded with this goal.” (via BeIN Sports)
It is not often that Dembele has received such words of encouragement from his coaches during the past three years in which he has really struggled with injury problems.

However, after having scored nine goals and four assists across all competitions this season, the French winger was recalled up to the national team by Deschamps to once again test his game at the national level.
Dembele started against Kazakhstan and played nearly the full ninety minutes. He was a threat throughout the night, registering two shots on target. The young starlet was also a menace down the flank, having attempted six dribbles, executing three successfully.
In the nineteenth minute, he received a peach of a pass on the right flank from French compatriot Anthony Martial, and after one touch he smashed the ball with a low drive into the bottom left corner with pinpoint accuracy.

Not only is Dembele on the right path with Barcelona, but it also seems that he may finally be making his mark on the national team. Still only 23 years old, the Frenchman has a bright future ahead if he can manage to stay physically strong and disciplined in his training and lifestyle.
Whenever he is fit, he poses a huge threat to opposition defenders, possessing the skill to take on any defender and create acres of space on either flank within a second. Hopefully, Dembele can maintain the level he has found this season and continues to prosper both on a club and country level.
