Joan Laporta has shown that he means business at Barcelona, as after completing the signing of Sergio Aguero, Eric Garcia, and Emerson in three consecutive days, the club has announced the signing of Jordi Cruyff. Son of the legendary Johann Cruyff, Jordi joins the club in a administrative capacity, forming part of the new organisational structure as of August 1.

Jordi has a lot of history at Barcelona; as an academy graduate from La Masia, a former player at the club, and then as an official member. His return has been made possible courtesy of the cooperation shown by Chinese team Shenzhen FC, where Jordi was the first-team coach.
Barcelona, in their official statement, have also thanked the Kaisa group and the president of the Chinese team, Kwok Ying Shing, and mention that they will be open to a collaboration in the future.
One would imagine the next step in this journey would be the official announcement of Ronald Koeman’s continuity as the head coach, which could be made official very soon. Huge decisions from the new board.
