Today marks the end of the final international break of the season. Tonight we could see a maximum of 10 Barça players in action today. Barça Universal takes a look at each of the matchups in detail.
Austria vs. Denmark (7:45 PM CET)
This match will feature the current Barça No. 9, Martin Braithwaite. The Danish has been an integral part of Denmark’s national team. He scored the opening goal against Israel on the first matchday, however, he could not find the back of the net in the 8-0 drubbing of Moldova.
Germany vs. North Macedonia (7:45 PM CET)
This tie could feature Marc Andre Ter Stegen, however, he has not been a name on the first XI due to the omnipresent Manuel Neuer. Given the fact that this would be an easy fixture for the 4-time World Champions, there are slight chances that Ter Stegen might get the cut.
Bosnia and Herzegovina vs. France (7:45 PM CET)
This game could feature 4 players from the Catalan club. Miralem Pjanic has been a constant feature of the Bosnian midfield for a considerable amount of time now. The Bosnian will look to once again put up an impressive performance against the World Champions in order to redeem himself in the eyes of Ronald Koeman.
Ousmane Dembele, Antoine Griezmann and Clement Lenglet all featured in an emphatic 2-0 victory against Kazakhstan. Dembele marked his first start for the national team after almost 3 years with a goal to his name. Griezmann has also been in a tremendous run of form lately and will look to build upon it tonight. Lenglet also kept a clean-sheet in the previous game which would surely give him a lot of confidence.
Spain vs. Kosovo (7:45 PM CET)
This match could feature Pedri, Sergio Busquests, and Jordi Alba. Pedri received a heavy blow in the match against Iceland; however, Luis Enrique clarified that he trained normally. The 18-year-old had a great first start for the Spanish national team.
Alba continued his spectacular run of form as he delivered 2 assists in the 2-1 victory against Georgia. Busquests also produced a sublime performance in a difficult fixture against pacey and physical Georgia. He was also given the armband in the absence of Sergio Ramos.
Switzerland U-21 vs. Portugal U-21 (5:00 PM CET)
This tie would feature Francisco Trincao. The Portuguese winger has been in good form lately giving some impact performances coming off the bench. He has also featured in both the previous fixtures and has a goal to his name. Trincao will look to continue putting in good performances in order to impress both his club and the national senior team’s coach.
